Description:
Pending projected spring/summer workload, Summit Envirosolutions, Inc.,
anticipates an opening in our St. Paul office for a part-time or full-time
cultural resources specialist with emphasis in prehistoric or historic
archaeology.
Responsibilities of this position include project management and coordination,
proposal preparation, budget management, invoicing, permitting, archival
research, archaeological survey, site excavation, staff supervision, artifact
analysis, context development, and report writing.
Eligible candidates must have the following:
Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field;
A minimum of three years of experience in the Upper Midwest at the PI level, and
a minimum of six years of experience in cultural resources consultation work;
Expertise in managing large, complex projects from start to finish;
History of completing projects on time, within budget and to client 's
satisfaction;
History of responsible and ethical decision making regarding cultural resources;
Experience working with large interdisciplinary teams;
Understanding and experience with cooperative/collaborative stewardship;
Successful record of maintaining and developing client relationships;
Ability to bring in work for self and other staff and a proven track record of
such;
Marketing experience;
Exceptional written and verbal skills; and
Applicants must meet the Secretary of the Interiors qualification standards for
their area of expertise and have demonstrated experience working with Federal
and state preservation legislation and regulations.
Preference will be given to candidates that meet the Minnesota Department of
Transportation pre-qualification standards, that have specific experience
working with telecommunications towers and compliance with NEPA, and that have
experience working with Tribal representatives.
